Stuff made of cloth that you will need for your Bubu.

Products that are made of cloth and can be used for a long time.

I will not be telling you what kid clothes to buy in this blog post. I will be mentioning the products that are made of cloth and can be used for a long time.

#1 Muslin washcloth

I love muslin for babies because it’s naturally derived material and mostly organic. Its soft and becomes even more soft with each wash. We started using these at newborn stage almost until 4 - 6 months, as washcloth to dry off the wetness wipes leave after diaper change. They then transitioned beautifully to the next baby stage of wiping drools. And as the winter approached to wipe Bubu nosey. They still are used to wipe after mealtime, or as nosey wipes. Two and a half year and still strong, definitely a product to buy. Go for multi-ply muslin washcloth there are tons on Amazon. This is the one I brought, but now the options have increased there are more prettier prints or even solid colors available lately.

#2 Muslin swaddle

Again, muslin is this magic cloth. Like I said it's naturally derived fiber, soft and to add to it very breathable. Which makes it perfect for swaddling. Also, they have so many beautiful prints available here in the US market, it's definitely going to either impress or confuse you (in a good way). As you may know swaddles are used only up to 3 months or until your baby fits or lets you swaddle so they are a short-lived product. But hold on, don’t pass it to the next baby you know, because they make great soft bath towels. Until date I always carry it in my diaper bag serves as a great blanket to protect Bubu from the scorching sun or even to ward off windy chills. Any of these uses bath towel or blanket will fit literally until your child is five years old or even more. There are tons of options on Amazon. You will find branded ones are more expensive than the smaller sellers, give the smaller sellers a try it’s not bad at all. I have three from three different small-scale seller, all of them are very sturdy as of yet (even after two and a half years).

#3 Muslin sleep sack with hands & feet

A lot of doctors will recommend no blanket for baby when sleeping. To add to the stress our Bubu always slept in the crib. I was very afraid and would check on him so often. I think what gave me peace of mind and some sleep is when I got him a sleep sack. Plus its a great product design. Our sleep sack is again made of muslin multi-ply (four layers) so you can use in all seasons. When child wears it, their feet and hands are out so it's like a very loose bodysuit which makes it easy to turn in sleep and they won’t feel bonded. It has a two way zip to open from top to get in + out or bottom for diaper change, buttons on the legs again for diaper change, safety tab to not hurt baby's chin, We are still using our sleep sack I bought at 9 months and it will fit him until 5 years. Here are some from Amazon. You will find branded ones are more expensive than the smaller sellers. I gave a smaller seller a try and it turned out great.

Looks like the the key takeaway of this blog post is muslin :) ...kidding. All product are going strong for the last two plus years and still counting. Hope this was helpful and you found some things to add to your baby registry or your shopping/gift list for the holidays.
